In 1981, Bruce Taher founded Taher on a simple idea: great food, genuine relationships, and doing the right thing matter. What began as a small, family-owned business has grown by listening to clients, adapting to their needs, and building customized dining programs around the communities we serve.

Growing Through Partnership

As our partnerships grew, so did our reach. Today, schools, businesses, manufacturers, hospitality organizations, and retail operations trust Taher for fresh food, chef-driven menus, and personalized service.

Through every stage of growth, our foundation has remained the same: quality, value, integrity, and a commitment to finding solutions, not one-size-fits-all answers. Some of our partnerships began in 1981 and continue today.

A Family Legacy

For more than four decades, Taher has remained proudly family-owned and operated, giving us the independence to think long term, invest in our people, and stay focused on our clients, guests, and communities.

The company remains family-owned by Bruce Taher and his three children: Shawn Taher, Trent Taher, and Courtney (Taher) Brewer, who serves as a silent partner. Shawn and Trent grew up in the business, learning the value of hard work firsthand and gaining experience across the company. Today, they help carry Taher’s values forward while shaping its future.

The Next Chapter

In 2026, Shawn Taher was named President of Taher, Inc. after more than 22 years with the company. He now leads the day-to-day operations and strategic execution of the business, building on the culture and values established by Bruce, who remains CEO and Chairman of the Board.

Trent Taher also stepped into an expanded role as Vice President and owner, helping guide purchasing strategy, market growth, and long-term direction. Together, Shawn and Trent represent the next generation of family leadership, ensuring Taher remains strong, independent, and future-focused.

Looking Ahead

Today, Taher serves clients across the U.S. while staying true to the principles that shaped us in 1981: chef-driven dining, creative solutions, and partnerships built on trust.
